The Waiting Room by David Laing Dawson

Alice's dementia is progressing. The whole family (Alice, husband Charles, son Richard, grandson Christopher, and daughter-in-law Sharon) visit a Nursing Home to explore options for Alice. Christopher is a reluctant teen; Sharon is the caretaker in the family; Richard is late arriving; Alice is befuddled and frightened; and Charles tries to impress Christopher. The drama, and some comedy, take place while the family is waiting for their appointment with the social worker.
