The candy shop of Mr. Sweetie and his daughters, Marshmallow and Liquorice, is famous for its sugar tears − a rare and costly sweetie with a syrupy centre. The recipe is Mr. Sweetie’s secret. When the Queen discovers that the sweetie offers relief to her sickly son, Prince Leonard, she orders more and more of the miraculous candy. Despite his best efforts, Mr. Sweetie cannot meet the Queen’s demands and lives in fear that she will throw one of her infamous tantrums. But his two daughters have a few tricks up their sleeves.
