The Barely Wives Club by Sarah Segal-Lazar

Set beneath the river Styx in the Underworld for Fictional Characters, THE BARELY WIVES CLUB looks at two famous female fictional characters, Juliet and Eurydice. Initially defined by the men whom they married, this short three-hander imagines them hundreds of years later, confined to a chamber as roommates and forced to watch a wall of televisions on which those above butcher their stories. How have they changed each other, from the “meek” women as whom they were initially portrayed onstage? More importantly, who are they now that the men who created them are long dead?
