Notes from the playwright on casting: "To prospective producers of this play, I strongly urge you to cast Indigenous and trans actors to play the roles of John and Billy. Marginalized groups need to be represented and included in our stories, while still being able to tell their own. We are in this life together. Be empathetic; be kind.
Damian and Pete are additional characters who don’t necessarily need to appear on the stage. They can “exist” by recording their dialogue and leaving their scene up to the audience’s imagination as they, the audience, listen to the dialogue."
