Gerry's wife, Helen, is in the late stages of her battle with cancer. Gerry is in denial. A near fatal fall leads to a visit to the doctor where a last resort injection has the unexpected effect of transforming him into a super hero. His attempts to use his new found powers to save Helen lead to a confrontation with the hard nosed realist R. F. Barebones.
