Splinters by Mishka Lavigne, English translation by David Gagnon Walker

English language translation of Copeaux by Mishka Lavigne.

Splinters tells the story of a relationship crumbling, of how things end and what remains. It shows us how love so often fades: without a single obvious catastrophe, but not without devastation. The piece is inspired by the world of Canadian visual artist Stefan Thompson, a world of wild animals, unsettling figures, and mysterious forests. Splinters is an open, poetic text. Each image is carefully chosen to float in the space between dreams, reality, and regret.
