“Put Up Your Hand” is a collection of monologues and one scene about school. The characters include a mother expressing fears about sending her son to his first day at school; a student railing at an unfair teacher; a teacher on the verge of a nervous breakdown in front of the class, among others. All characters and situations are linked by a common question: what’s school for? It’s a question all students and teachers should ask themselves everyday.
