First performed at Markham Theatre in February of 2011, the play considers what happens when a plane crashes into a family. As the world loses its innocence, so too the Thomas family lose their idealistic notions when the death of the patriarch forces them to take stock and consider what it means to live, love and laugh.
The action takes place over the course of two days (September 10th and 11th of 2001), in a farm house in Essex County, Ontario.
The play’s debut was a huge hit with audiences and critics! A favourite with theatre-goers, it has become MLT’s most successful show in ten years, garnering nine nominations and three Theas (including Best Drama), at the ACT-CO Gala in April, 2011.
