Leaving Marjorie Bliss by John Spurway

Edythe and Maxine are long-term residents of the Marjorie Bliss Retirement Home. Audrey is a recent addition. They spend a lot of time playing cards. Talk around the card table includes complaining about the living conditions, which aren’t the best. They decide to pool their resources and move out. However, their plans are thrown out of kilter with the arrival of a handsome newcomer. Leaving Marjorie Bliss is a hilarious and moving account of friendships made late in life and the true meaning of family.
