Inspired by the Julio Cortazar story "The Southern Thruway", Into is the story of four wildly disparate characters caught in an endless traffic jam. An Urban Nun, a Businessman, a Mysterious Beauty and an Disaffected White Youth fight, make love, and - as the jam extends into weeks and months - gradually form a tight-knit community.

And then something changes on the horizon...

Into premiered in 1993 at Toronto's Theatre Passe Muraille and since then has been widely produced, from Perth Australia to Yellowknife in Canada's Northwest Territories.

The play is dedicated to the memory of theatre artist Gina Wilkinson, who originated the role of Lucy.
