Dismissed takes a deep dive into the lives of educators- we get to see the good, the bad and the ugly. The entire play takes place in the busy and bustling teacher's lounge of Central Collegiate elementary. Dismissed follows five teachers and the principal through two weeks leading up to the Holiday break. In those two weeks we are witness to a hiring, a firing, a torrid love affair and the blossoming of a new romance among other events. This play will make you cry and pull at your heartstrings. Everyone knows someone who has either been to elementary school or works in one- this is a play that will hit home for a lot of people trying to find their place in the world, whether in a school setting or not. Dismissed is written for three women and two men, with one role open to be played by either a man or a woman.
