In 2026, Jenny, a gutsy, working-class teen has a crush on Howie Larson, a rock idol. Although she’s heard about climate change, her priority is escaping from her dysfunctional family by launching her singing career.

Scott, Jenny’s grandson, an impetuous teen, lives in Haven in 2084 near the ruins of Jenny’s city. Haven is a fragile, ecological spiritual oasis. Scott knows that unstoppable feedback loops from our time will wipe out life on Earth by 2115. More immediately, in the wake of the chaos caused by climate change, despotic General Clovis leads a private corporate army razing villages, killing people, and seizing their scarce resources. Clovis is about to destroy Haven. Unless Scott can convince Jenny to stop climate change in our present, Haven and its people are doomed.

Scott time travels to Jenny in 2024 to persuade her to rescue Howie from a climate disaster, and then to convince him to launch a global climate-justice strike which will prevent the tipping points that will make climate change unstoppable.

As their rocky, bitter-sweet friendship evolves, Scott and Jenny face deadly threats in both times. In 2084, the ruling Sages exile Scott to almost certain death for messing with time. Jenny must time travel to 2084 to speak for him. In 2026, Jenny and Howie face attacks for threatening oil interests. Time is running out as Clovis attacks Haven.

Will Scott and Jenny succeed in preventing a catastrophic future? And if they do, will they lose each other?

2084 takes viewers on a roller-coaster adventure from now to the future and back. It’s an inspiring must-see especially for youth concerned about their own and the world’s future.
